«Transcending Horizons: A Colombian Art Odyssey» will be held from June 16th, 2023, to July 1st 2023, at Gallery 21. Organized by the renowned collective We Art Colombia, this exhibition marks their third presentation of Colombian artists in Tokyo, Japan, solidifying their position as a prominent cultural force within Colombia’s art world.

With an impressive lineup of more than 30 Colombian artists, this exhibition promises to be a captivating showcase of talent. These artists, who are currently residing in different parts of the world, come together in Tokyo to present their unique perspectives on Colombian art.

Diverse in their chosen disciplines, the participating artists represent a broad range of artistic expressions including painting, sculpture, photography, and digital art. Through this diverse selection, the exhibition offers a comprehensive representation of contemporary Colombian art.

Beyond the exhibition itself, We Art Colombia is committed to nurturing the next generation of emerging artists with training and support. As an independent artist collective, We Art Colombia has curated and invited esteemed contemporary artists from Colombia to participate in major art events across the globe. Their impressive portfolio includes cities such as New York, London, Rome, Bogotá, Miami, and now Tokyo.

Each presentation by We Art Colombia has featured a captivating mix of mixed-media artworks, showcasing the versatility and creativity of Colombian artists. From traditional oil paintings to innovative collages, graffiti-inspired canvases adorned with stencils, and even toy art and sculptures, the exhibitions have consistently celebrated a diverse combination of techniques and a wide range of creative skill sets.

As a collective of Colombian artists residing in various corners of the world, We Art Colombia believes in the power of unity. Whenever an exhibition takes place in a new city, these talented individuals come together to share the best of Colombian art and its rich history.

展覧会名:「限りない地平線:コロンビアアートのオデッセイ」

「限りない地平線:コロンビアアートのオデッセイ」は、2023年6月16日から2023年7月1日まで、Gallery 21で開催されます。著名なコレクティブ『We Art Colombia』によって主催されるこの展覧会は、コロンビアのアーティストを東京で紹介する彼らの3回目のプレゼンテーションとなり、コロンビアのアート界で重要な文化的存在としての地位を確固たるものにしています。
